Tyre Doctor Expands Mackay Operations with New State of the Art Mining Service Hub

Tyre Doctor has expanded its Mackay operations with the opening of a new purpose-built mining service hub at 67–75 Michelmore Street, Paget, significantly increasing its capacity to support mining and heavy-industry operations across Central Queensland and the Bowen Basin.

The expanded Mackay hub represents a major investment in the region, strengthening Tyre Doctor’s ability to deliver faster turnaround times, improved logistics coordination, and enhanced onsite support for mining fleets operating across Central Queensland.

Designed specifically to service the mining and heavy-industry sector, the expanded Mackay hub offers a comprehensive range of tyre and wheel solutions, including OTR tyre supply, tyre repair, equipment maintenance, rim non-destructive testing (NDT) and repair, wheel supply, and complete tyre management services.

The Mackay hub also enhances Tyre Doctor’s field service capability across Central Queensland, including transport to and from mines, scheduled fleet servicing, shutdown support, and coordinated maintenance programs designed to minimise downtime for mining operations.

In addition to its specialist services, the Mackay hub supplies a comprehensive range of mining tyre and wheel products, giving customers convenient access to quality OTR tyres, wheels, rims, components, consumables, and workshop accessories backed by local expertise and support.

Tom Hester, Managing Director of Tyre Doctor, said the new facility marks a major investment in the Mackay region and supports long-term growth across Central Queensland.

“We’re excited to now be operating from our new Mackay mining service hub at Michelmore Street. This marks an important milestone for the branch and a strong investment in our future.

“The additional space and improved capability are already enabling the team to better support our clients, pursue new opportunities, and continue expanding our presence across Central Queensland and the Bowen Basin.

“Looking ahead, I’m confident in the future of Mackay. With Shane Clarke, Mackay Tyre Manager, and Nathan Haynes, Mackay Rim Manager, leading the branch and a strong team behind them, we will continue to strengthen customer relationships, grow new business opportunities, and create further career pathways.

“This investment reflects our confidence in the region and the long-term future of Central Queensland’s mining industry.

“At its core, our success is built on people, their dedication, teamwork, and commitment to supporting one another”.

As Tyre Doctor continues to grow its national footprint, the expanded Mackay mining service hub reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering reliable, responsive, and industry-leading tyre and wheel solutions to mining and heavy-industry operations across Australia.
