Course Overview

Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology training is broken down into two courses.
  1. Full Certificate II in light (car), heavy (road truck, prime movers, trailers and buses) and agricultural.
  2. Full Certificate II in light (car), heavy (road truck, prime movers, trailers and buses), agricultural and OTR (Off the Road – earthmoving equipment with tyres over 24 inches).

Duration

This is a 3-day session with 1 day assessment after 250 hour logbook has been competed Additional day/s will be added to the two days if the candidate requires further experience and confidence to gain competency. is lacking the experience and confidence to gain competency.

Course Features

For the OTR Certificate II the candidate after two-three days of training will be given a Record Logbook to complete their minimum 250 hours experience. After the 250-hour Logbook has been completed the candidate is to attend a Final Assessment session is complete the candidate comes back for the Final Assessment.

Training can be conducted in one of our Tyre Doctor Training Facilities or on client sites.

Upon successful completion of the final assessment and full payment of the invoice, a Nationally Recognised Certificate II Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology AUR21920 (Light, Heavy, Agricultural, Industrial and OTR Tyres)

  • AURATA001 Identify basic automotive faults using troubleshooting processes

Group A: Light Vehicle Tyres

  • AURLTJ011 Select light vehicle tyres and wheels for specific applications
  • AURLTJ102 Remove, inspect, repair and refit light vehicle tyres and tubes
  • AURLTJ113 Remove, inspect and refit light vehicle wheel and tyre assemblies

Group B: Heavy Vehicle Tyres

  • AURHTJ102 Select heavy vehicle tyres, wheels and rims for specific applications
  • AURHTJ103 Remove, inspect and refit heavy vehicle wheel and tyre assemblies
  • AURHTJ106 Remove, inspect, repair and refit heavy vehicle tyres and tubes

Group C: Agricultural Tyres

  • AURHTJ102 Select heavy vehicle tyres, wheels and rims for specific applications
  • AURHTJ103 Remove, inspect and refit heavy vehicle wheel and tyre assemblies
  • AURHTJ104 Remove, inspect, repair and refit agricultural equipment tyres and tubes

Group D: Earthmoving and Off-the-Road Tyres

  • AURKTJ011 Remove, inspect and fit earthmoving and off-the-road tyres
  • AURKTJ012 Remove, inspect and fit earthmoving and off-the-road wheel and rim assemblies
  • AURKTJ015 Select earthmoving and off-the-road tyres, wheels and rim assemblies for specific applications
  • AURKTJ016 Use earthmoving and off-the-road tyre handlers
